Hamilton Health Sciences (HHS) is a hospital network of seven hospitals and a cancer centre serving Hamilton, Ontario with a community of 15,000 staff, physicians, researchers, and volunteers. The Parsec Youth Network has teamed up with HHS to thank healthcare providers for their hard work. We are directly offering our free virtual tutoring services to the internal HHS community, and have connected with HHS Volunteer Resources to provide remote volunteering opportunities for HHS volunteers to get involved in this initiative.

The Centre for Community Partnerships (CCP) connects students with opportunities to take action and deepen their understanding of the social, cultural, ethical and political dimensions of civic life through hands-on experiences working with Toronto’s social sector, while building sustainable partnerships with community organizations. The Parsec Youth Network has partnered with the CCP to connect students at the University of Toronto with unique volunteering opportunities. In addition to helping as volunteer tutors, these students will work together with our outreach team as Ambassadors for our tutoring program to engage with and expand our network of youth across various communities across the province.

The Niisaachewan Anishinaabe Nation is an Ojibway or Ontario Saulteaux First Nation band government located in Kenora, Ontario. The Parsec Youth Network has collaborated with the Niisaachewan Education Department - this department covers costs for tuition and school fees for Nominal Roll students who attend public, private and/or Catholic schools in Kenora. We are sharing our resources in directly extending free academic tutoring and access to free summer workshop programming to offer additional support for students and families of the Niisaachewan Anishinaabe Nation community.

The Michaëlle Jean Centre for Global and Community Engagement at the University of Ottawa promotes lifelong community engagement and social responsibility by integrating academics with meaningful volunteer service through community and faculty partnerships. The Parsec Youth Network is a Community Partner with uOttawa, providing volunteer opportunities and ongoing support to students through work evaluations and verification of volunteer hours for their Co-curricular Records.

Central Toronto Youth Services (CTYS) is a community-based, accredited Children’s Mental Health Centre that serves many of Toronto’s most vulnerable youth. The Parsec Youth Network proudly supports CTYS clients by providing free tutoring through their Community Outreach Program and working with Youth & Family Counsellors and Case Coordinators.

The John Howard Society (JHS) of Ontario is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to effective, just and humane responses to crime and its causes, by supporting the people and communities affected by the criminal justice system. The Parsec Youth Network proudly supports clients of the JHS, working with Youth Outreach Workers to provide free tutoring and help youth develop the life skills that will let them achieve their full potential.

World Vision McMaster advocates on behalf of World Vision Canada to raise awareness about social injustices and projects that aim to alleviate poverty in communities abroad. The Parsec Youth Network has partnered with World Vision's Outreach Subcommittee to provide McMaster students with volunteering opportunities to support their local communities through our free online tutoring program.

Havn is a student-run non-profit startup committed to centralizing the process of connecting high school students with volunteer opportunities through their platform using a generalized application process. The Parsec Youth Network has become a partner organization in connecting student volunteers applying through Havn with virtual opportunities to serve their communities through our free tutoring initiative.
